Just do human shit
Sooo, today I bought another table to be a project...again! I already have a huge list of projects! We are talking 8-10 deep! But I couldn't walk away from a sweet little table with good lines and nice fretwork, and no true intrinsic value, for $21.99. If I do nothing but paint it, I will make my money back.
I haven't decided what I'm going to do with it yet, but I work best when I can mull something over for a while.
I would never be a good "HGTV Design Show" contestant. Thinking fast isn't my forte. Those poor souls have to make decisions on the fly while running full-tilt! Nope! Not me!! Can't be done.
Choices are my biggest hurdle. There are sooo many! Which do I choose? I have to turn each choice over and over in my head, trying to visualize each end product. Sometimes this process takes only moments, sometimes it takes a day, sometimes months. And then the implementation of the chosen plan can take forever!
I'm not a lazy person. I'm a busy person. Life throws a lot of curveballs. With work, man, dog, kids, grandkids, house, laundry, etc, it gets a bit crowded.
But, I'm preaching to the choir, aren't I? You all know what it takes to balance house, home, family and work. It's daunting. Then giving your creative voice a place in the midst of all that, just doesn't happen as you imagined or planned.
Try to remember that You are just human and fallible, like the rest of us. There is no sense in turning yourself inside out to accomplish super-human shit. Just be you. Roll with what you have, and do what you can do. That's enough.
Well, enough of the sappy shit. Gotta get on the creative train and chug along. Whoot! Whoot!

My Halloween project...
and taped my black poster board along the window, some horizontal and some vertical, and "copied" the design by eye using white chalk, changing it just a bit to suit my window size. I had to number each piece of poster board before I took it down so I would know which piece went where, and began cutting out the shapes. Then it was just a matter of placing the poster board back up onto the window in the right order.
